Job Application Cover Letter

Landing a job is not always as easy as it seems in the films. Before you can even get the chance to be interviewed you have to prove yourself through a resume and an application letter. Many individuals understand what needs to be done to the resume - but they often forget to supply the cover letter. This is essential because it will show them your best properties and talents and will help to explain any questions they might have.

Your address should be in the heading or situated in the top right hand side of the page. Just imagine that you are writing a formal letter to a business investor. After the address, skip down two lines and type in the date. Make sure that this is aligned with the left margin. Skip four more lines and type the address and name of the cover letter. All of this must be on one page.

On the next page you need to make an opening statement that is really going to stand out in their minds and explain to them why you are the right one for the job. Explain to them what experience makes you qualified for it. If this is boring than you will lose their interest quickly and won't even bother reading the rest.

In the other paragraphs you have to talk about the other jobs and levels of training you have that would make you a perfect match. Basically you have to be selling yourself and your talents in two paragraphs. It is not necessary to write about each job that you have had. You should only concentrate on the ones that relate to the job you are going for.

Close the letter by summing up everything you said and remember to thank them. This is a challenging
career test you will have to go through - but it will give you the assurance you need to do it whenever required.
